LOF VIDEO: “Understanding the Creed,” Episode III

Dated: August 12, 2022 admin

“The Function of the Creed in the Life of the Church Today” (conclusion)

In Episode III of “Understanding the Creed,” Dr. Clark Carlton concludes his talk on the “Function of the Creed in the Life of the Church Today” by looking at the recitation of the Creed during the Divine Liturgy. In spite of the fact that this was a relatively late development (late 5th century), the exact placement of the Creed after the Great Entrance and before the Eucharistic Canon teaches us a great deal about the nature of our Faith and the nature of the Eucharistic Liturgy as well.

This presentation is available as a video with notes (click image below). Or in audio-only format (bottom of page).
