Dated: September 21, 2025 admin

The 2nd edition of “The Protectress of the Southland” icon is now available, both mounted on wood and in laminate print. Buy one today from our friends at Uncut Mountain Supply!

The new version includes the following sites:

The Russian Orthodox Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Washington; St. Symeon Orthodox Church (OCA) in Birmingham, Alabama; Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral in New Orleans, Louisiana; Sts. Constantine & Helen Serbian Orthodox Church in Galveston, Texas; St. Jonah Orthodox Church (ROCOR) in Spring, Texas; St. Seraphim Orthodox Cathedral (OCA) in Dallas; St. Ignatius Orthodox Church (Antiochian) in Franklin, Tennessee; and Holy Cross Monastery (ROCOR) in Wayne, West Virginia.

This stunning pan-Orthodox icon captures the hope of a unified Orthodox Christian South and the humble call on the Theotokos for the protection of both our Church and our homeland. God willing, this icon will fill homes and parishes throughout Dixie & beyond.
